| The original idea of this site was to help people get used to talking with
others online (not face to face) to overcome their talk phobias. By
talking with other people live in a text chat environment is a good way
to start as you feel safe at home and you do not have to see the other
person's facial expressions (no need to be shy or uncomfortable when
looked at). We believe that the longer people chat with text, the more
it becomes a "realer" experience (people say that they sometimes forget
it's just a type and read type thing) and eventually become the life of
the chat "party". Even myself (founder) has gotten over fears of speech
giving by using busy chatrooms. Even if you do not have any fears of talking to others, you can still have a "crap" load of fun using our site to find some useful or useless IRC chat rooms. A phobia is an excessive or unreasonable fear of an object, place or situation. Simple phobias are fears of specific things such as insects, infections, flying. Agoraphobia is a fear of being in places where one feels "trapped" or unable to get help, such as in crowds, on a bus, or standing in a queue. A social phobia is a marked fear of social or performance situations. This free IRC JAVA APPLET is a great alternative to installing mIRC/pIRCh/Xchat (shareware software requires money to register) on your already bloated computer (we already have enough junk apps installed on your overwhelmed PCs).
